This beginner-friendly outdoor photography class takes place at Rainbow Springs State Park and focuses on photographing waterfalls in a simple, intentional, and creative way. Participants will learn how to choose the best light, frame a scene, and use longer exposure techniques to create beautiful, flowing water effects. Please bring a camera or iPhone and a tripod.
The class will cover:
Choosing the best light for waterfall photography
Framing and composing waterfalls for strong visual impact
Introduction to longer exposure techniques for soft, flowing water
Camera and iPhone settings explained clearly for beginners
Using a tripod effectively in the field
This class is designed for beginners and hobbyists using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or iPhone. Emphasis is on learning to see, slow down, and photograph with intention rather than technical complexity.
